Auburn Rotary Club Radio Auction |
The Auburn Rotary Club met to discuss how its first Auburn Rotary Club Auction would be handled. We had a great number of items to auction, as well as quite a few cash and like-kind donations. Dick Phelan, Scot Tway and Erick Wicklund were the on air hosts, and many other club members were scheduled to help man the phones, and relay the bids to the radio hosts. In case you missed it, the auction was a great success. More than $16,000 was raised for the club's Community Needs fund. This is the largest single money-making event for this fund in the history of the club. Hopefully this will be the beginning of bigger and better radio auctions in the future. The club owes a big debt of thanks to Lisa Ditchkoff and many other Rotarians who helped plan, organize and execute the auction, as well as participate, bid and purchase many of the items. |
