Debbie Smith, principal of Cary Woods Elementary School, greeted us to tour one of Auburn’s primary schools. Everyone was impressed not only the facility, but especially the quality of the teachers and teaching methods. We’ve come a long, long way from the old chalk board days! One of the third grade classes the club visited was learning about polygons using Smart Boards.

During lunch, a group of third grade students, including Davis Tullier, son of Rotarian Michael Tullier, premiered a new promotional video the three created under the direction of the school's technology teacher. Smith and Superintendent Terry Jenkins Jenkins briefly spoke to the group as well.
