Auburn University Women's Golf

Coach Kim Evans, who currently coaches Auburn University's Women's Golf team, played on the AU golf team as a student player and has coached golf for 17 years. She was the national coach of the year in 2002; and SEC coach of the year in 1996, 2001 and 2002. Her team’s accolades include four SEC titles (1996, 2000, 2003 and 2004); NCAA Central Region champs in 2005; NCAA second place in 2002 and third place in 2005. The team was ranked first in both 2001 and 2002. Currently, the team is ranked fourth.

Golf has become a year-round sport for the eight AU golfers who play in 15 tournaments February thru May—plus year-round conditioning/exercise. Tournaments allow five players, with one score omitted. Coach Evans has six scholarships that can be used to offer full to partial scholarships to golfers.
