Elementary School Teacher of the Year

Carol Ham, Ogletree Elementary
As a second grade teacher at Ogletree Elementary School, Carol is a role model. Not only does she train our little ones, she also spends time training our future teachers when they intern in her classroom. Carol considers each child’s learning style and spends hours developing the best approach to teaching her class. She is committed to having her students develop a love of learning that will be with her students for their lifetime. Carol Ham also represented us as District Teacher of the Year.

Secondary Teacher of the Year

Mary Dairymple Auburn High School
Auburn High School ranks nationally as one of the finest schools in the country — Mary and her commitment to teaching science is a large part of AHS' success. She teaches both AP and lB courses, and leads the Science Team and its state and national competitive efforts each year. Her colleagues and administrators say she is a shining example of someone who gives her time unselfishly to her students. Mary loves to teach herself and works to stay a step ahead of the bright students in her classroom. She follows in the footsteps of her mother who was a biology teacher.
