Coach David Marsh
Auburn University Swimming and Diving

Coach David Marsh David Marsh has achieved seven “Coach of the Year” awards during his career at Auburn. Truly a wonderful mentor for young people, his graduation rate is nearly 100 percent. David is an Auburn graduate and was an All-American (1981) swimmer for the Tigers. His men have placed No. 1 in the SEC in each year in 1997-2003, No. 1 in the NCAA in 1999, 2000 and 2003. The ladies team has performed at the top of their competition by winning the No. 1 spot in the SEC and the NCAA in 2003. The record speaks for itself: men, 71-21; women, 75-17.

David says the challenge for this year is, “not be complacent with the current status,” but continue to work on the basics and set and achieve team goals.

Other than being a great asset to our community David is a family man first. He is married with three children, and is a man devoted to honoring his faith with all of his life, personal and professional.

The Auburn Rotary Club presented David Marsh with the Rotary Vocation Award and a Paul Harris Fellowship for his outstanding example of leadership in and out of the pool.
