Oh Lord, guide us in our efforts to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.

Kathy Powell is chairing the 2nd Annual Auburn Rotary Club Auction.  This year’s live event will be hosted by MIXX 96.7 FM on Saturday August 23, 2008 from 8am—11am.  In addition auction items will be available on the Rotary Club website  http://www.auburn.rotaryclub.com/radioauction from Noon on August 24th—until 5 pm Friday August 29, 2008.

Last year’s auction netted about 15 thousand dollars.  We’re hoping to top that amount by 30% and raise at least 2o thousand dollars this year!  To achieve this lofty goal, every Rotary member needs to try to secure items or services worth $250.  Sponsorship levels are also available.  Dick Phelan will be one of our radio hosts and other.  For those who missed the meeting, we’ve already gotten some fabulous items to kick off the auction.  Football tickets for the Auburn/UGA game as well as 50 yard tickets for when Auburn hosts Tennessee.  Lynch Nissan/Toyota is also donating 2 $500 gas gift cards.  Many thanks to those who’ve already secured auction items, and also to Kathy Powell and her team leaders for their work in making this a tremendous success.
