ROTARY PRAYER Oh Lord, guide us in our efforts to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. May we continue to develop our acquaintances and strengthen ourselves to serve your world in our personal, business and community life. Bless this meal and the fellowship in the name of the many faiths we represent. |

The last regular meeting for the Rotary year was highlighted by President Jim Golson’s recap of the past year for the Auburn Rotary Club. We as a club accomplished much this past year. We lost a few members, but gained several new ones. We began the year at 120 members and finished with 129. The Auburn Rotary Club once again received a Presidential Citation, we exceeded our goals for donations to Rotary International, we recognized outstanding citizens and teachers in our community. We also had a record setting year distributing $30,000 to community needs. The first annual Radio Auction raised $15,000 for charity. After President Golson finished his address, we had our traditional “Passing the Gavel”, recognizing all of our past presidents in attendance, and finally ending up giving the gavel to Walker Jackson our incoming President. President Walker certainly has a challenge to meet the outstanding job that President Jim Golson did this past year. However, with everyone’s help I’m confident we’ll have another record setting year! |

THE FOUR-WAY TEST of the things we think, say or do 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all Concerned? |
